Not sure if you can help me...
Okay so awhile back I installed up to Generations, and was happy as heck. I could play it decently on lowest detail settings. Then showtime came out and it cause severe lagg issues. Was there any graphic updates at that point. Is there anyway that I can minimize potential lag causing things? I'd like to play supernatural (I ALWAYS wanted this EP). Any ideas. (Note: I realize that I need to get a new computer but I'm asking if there is anything I can try to make the game run any smoother, if the issue persists after running through the suggestions I'll have to go back to sims 2... I simply can't afford a "Modern computer" as it is my computer is 4 years old...)

yes you can set all your graphics on to low in the options section of your game, the lower you go the less lag you will have(ps updating your driver from your graphic card can help too)

I already play on low however in the four years I've had this babe I doubt the drivers have been updated. Microsoft is terrible at auto updating that kind of thing (even if you set it to do so) I'll update my drivers and see if once I install the game it runs any better than the last time.larsV wrote:yes you can set all your graphics on to low in the options section of your game, the lower you go the less lag you will have(ps updating your driver from your graphic card can help too)
Thank you for your response. I'd still like to hear from admin or anyone else who has Ideas.
Edit: Woops might just be me but that sounded rude. Sorry LarsV, thanks for your post!
Edit 2: Update: 0 available updates for my graphics card. Looks like I may have to got back to 2. I like 2 but it I feel like my sims are isolated by load screens time differences ect. I miss 3.

Uninstall expansions that you don't feel are necessary/ that you don't use often.

Actually it seems what ever issue i was having with the severe lagg resolved itself in one of the recent updates, or so it seems.
