Town screen and options?

So, I first installed the torrents your site offers (the Sims 3 base game, Pets, and Seasons) because I had bought the base game and all of a sudden, was having major issues with it. For instance, when going to town view in the game, it is all black except for the icons of stores and lots and such. So it's still playable, but it's terribly inconvenient. Also, after clicking on the "options" button, it flickers for a split second, but doesn't come up! I can't change anything. So I uninstalled the bought version and installed the torrents, but it's doing the same exact things. I suspect it's an issue with graphics...? I just don't get it, because I never had this problem before. The game used to run fine. If you could walk me through any known fix, that would be so great!

Try to update your graphic card drivers. What type of card do you have?

Do you have any mods or custom CC? It could be one of those causing a conflict somewhere?

Also is it just the one town it affecting or is it several towns it is affecting?

Try a new game in a different town to the one you are having a issue with and let us know your results. It could be just something random in that particular town that is causing the issue
