Help sims medieval *failed to initialize* on windows 8.

hi , i just did the ultimate fix and the other one for nobles and pirates , but when i tried to play , when clicked on the button play , they said failed to initialize (securom ) , and i don't know if it's normal or not because i'm on windows 8 so ^^ , so thanks in advance .

Is your game updated to the latest version ? If so, please re-do the latest "Medieval Ultimate fix":

Follow the included instructions. So, apply the two files in the Medieval folder first, then update the game with the launcher, and in the end, apply the two files inside the #Crack folder. Please, at all stages (especially when you paste the files from the #crack folder in the end !) you always have to replace all existing files - so just choose "copy and replace" on all files when pasting the files to the Medieval base game folder.

Also, make a shortcut from the desktop from the TSM.exe file, and use this shortcut then to start the game. See if this works and let us know !

P.S. do not post Sims-related problems in PC Downloads support anymore. Most likely, the topic will just be deleted by another Mod or Admin. This time I'll make an exception, but not next time. Wink

Generally, you should read the WARNINGS on the main page of the forum. You'll find these warnings next to many sub-fora; for example in the "PC Downloads Support" section, the warning says: (POST YOUR PROBLEMS WITH OUR NON-THE SIMS DOWNLOADS HERE!)

THIS means, that Sims-related questions do NOT belong there, but rather questions about ALL other Games4TheWorld downloads).

In "The Sims (3) Fixes" section, it's this: (DO NOT post your game problems here!)

I think this should be clear enough. Post any sim problems in either "The Sims (3) in-game problems/ The Sims (3) downloads support".
