How do you download CC & put it into your game?

I'm not very familiar with this, i'm more used to the legit games. Anyways, is there a certain way to download and install the CC from the sims resource onto yall's version of the game? I have all the EXPS & Stuff Packs that I found on the site, but i can't seem to figure out how to download the CC! Pleasee help!

Well, it all depends what kind of CC you are trying to install.
Basically, everything goes into 

Code:

Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\
Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\

Once in there, you need two folders mainly:
@ Mods, used for, well, mods. But also wall paints and terraints replacement. Basically, anything that alters the game and is not  sim or a house.
@ Tray, for things you can access from the Gallery inside your game 5Sims, houses, rooms, ...)

Now, if you want to install a mod, be carefull, you have two types of Mods:
@ Scripting mods: you need to enable them in your game, and they do not need to be unzipped. Just put the archive in the folder.
@ Non-scripting mods: extract them in the folder.
This is usually said, if it is a scripting mod. If not, don't worry ^^
