CRC Error [SOLVED]

I think I've posted in the wrong section/thread somewhere. Anyway, I've never encountered this issue before. It was in 2014 I guess when I first installed the game following your instructions. I'm doing the same now but I keep getting this error. It's so frustrating I had to post. Sorry for the bother but hoping for help. Thanks.
* Downloading the base game again.
* Downloaded the base game but I'm still getting the same error. I'm now re-downloading the manual patch.

Hi there,
When exactly do you get the error? When trying to install The Sims 3 base game or the manual patch?
If it's the base game, which base game: our "separate" one, or the one that comes with the Complete Collection?

Hi! Sorry. I got too excited when the game worked so I totally forgot I posted here. But yeah, I got the game working. Just had to restart PC then apply manual patch. Really sorry.
