Game runs slow/low fps with WiFi.
My game runs very slow with a low fps when i have my wifi on my computer, but when I disable the wifi connection it runs smoothly....does anyone have any idea why this could be? It's very frustrating

Hello and welcome to the G4TW Forums @kurtcobain,
I would speculate that your computer is (still) in the process of downloading some large Windows update or something else. I myself have a decent, but still basically outdated gaming PC. But whenever my game starts lagging like crazy, I know there is some Windows update going on. I'm connected through an Ethernet cable though, but I don't think that matters here.
Other explanation could be antivirus software activity. Note that some software, especially Norton, are very draining on system resources.
Other than that I can freely play The Sims 4, or any other game, with the internet being on, but maybe someone else has a second opinion.

Thanks for the reply, it started happening before I had any active antivirus, I've now got Kaspersky, and of course there's no difference.
It started happening all of a sudden after a Windows update so I'm thinking it could be something to do with the wifi adapter, but I don't have much knowledge on adapters so I couldn't be able to figure it out. I will double check if there's any updates going on.

What's your Windows version?
Windows Settings => System => About => Windows specifications. I myself am still on Version 1803, because I tried updating to the 19xx-something version, and my Ethernet stopped working completely.
Under Windows Settings => Update & Security => Recovery, see if you have this option here:
If you roll back to a previous Windows version, I believe though that it will also remove personal files and installed programs, that you put on your computer, since the update. Though I admit I'm not 100% sure. To be safe, make backups of your recent work (if there is anythign worth backing up), before you roll back.
