Can The Sims 3 + EPs run on a 1.6GHz quad core processor?

Hi!

I will be getting a new laptop soon and have decided on this laptop with these specs:

1.6GHz AMD Quad-Core A8-4555M accelerated processor with 4MB L2 cache for reliable performance; 2.4GHz with AMD Turbo Core technology
AMD Radeon HD 7600 Graphics
6GB DDR3 RAM
640GB (5400 RPM) SATA

I know it's not top-of-the-line for gaming, but I can't really afford a gaming laptop nor don't have space for a desktop so I have to make do with what I can get. This is the one that's the best so far, and what I'm after is the graphics. Intel graphics aren't really that good so I'm going for the AMD.

One thing is bothering me though, will The Sims 3 + say 5 expansion packs run with that processor? It is quad core but isn't 1.6GHz too slow? Since minimum is 2.0GHz dual core. However, it does have Turbo Boost up to 2.4GHz when needed. I've done my research and some say yes, and a few say no. I would want an opinion from others who play the game. I want to know simply, if this processor could run the game and expansion packs. I want to be sure before I make my purchase instead of getting it and finding out later on that it won't run. pale

The ones with no patience say no.
I leaned to have patience.
A few years back I ran Sim3 on a desktop with less power then what u detailed.
Would U by a different PC if all people said no? Don't worry about it will work

I have a 3.0 GHz dual core, it can't handle more than 5 expansions decently.
