New Graphic Card.
Hello everyone,
I want to upgrade my graphic card of my laptop because I want a better gaming experience . and so I don't want it to be so expensive and I want it to run every game very smooth(especially Sims 3). Can you please suggest me a graphic card?
Processor: Intel(R) Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.00GHz
Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 525M and integrated one Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000.
Thank you

Well make up your mind. You want an affordable GPU or a good one?

Hi there,
You want to change your laptop's GPU? I'd love to know the result.

I want a GPU better than the one I have right now.

That's not hard, but "better" won't do you much good. If you want to notice a difference you need a significantly better one.
I have a GeForce 550, not sure what the equivalent for laptop is. It's a mid-range, 1GB GDDR5 card, costed around $230 almost two years ago, can run almost every game perfectly with a few exceptions:
-GTA IV, no PC can run it perfectly. None.
-The Sims 3, can't run it perfectly alone, needs a badass CPU to work with.
-The Witcher 2. PC Game? Please.
-Spore, naturally.
-GRID 2, Detailed Ambient Occlusion kicks the frame rate in the balls, without it runs at 60 FPS.
-Two or three others that I can't remember.
-Far Cry 3, overheats for some reason.
When I say "Perfectly" I mean they keep a steady frame rate of 45 - 50 FPS with the graphics set to maximum. But I should specify that I don't play many of today's more overrate... err I meant popular games (aka Battlefield 3, Crysis, etc etc).
Anyway Admin has a point, changing the laptop's GPU isn't as easy as it sounds...
