Ok, so I've found a fix for this and its a .package file that is only 2.5 KB. It works with both the .package version and the .sims3pack version of the store update.

Basically what happens without this fix is when you tell your sim to learn a spell or do something, the object will teleport your character about 2 feet away and that is it. This fix will make it so you can learn the spells and use the object like normal.

This fix is now obsolete and no longer available, please use the Store Fixes in stead. These will fix all of your store glitches.

You need to have the proper files though. Please click >>Here<< and read the instructions on that site. You will also need to download the ready made framework they provide.
