mothers day??

hi people. I am Indonesian. we celebrate mothers day at 22 december here. I see hapy mother day at top of our forum today .just curious, what is the day for mothers day at your country? tell me your country also Smile

if you know the history tell me.its ok if not.. I unfortunately dont know the hystory of my mothers day..

btw,where to discuss about smartphone (ipad,tab,android,etc) games? I just found PC and console there...

Here in the US, where I currently reside, today is "Mother's day". I guess the same holds for Canada and the most of Europe too, but yes, in some parts of the world (Asia, South America, ..) this may be treated differently.

But honestly, I don't really care about the "history" of this day, since I don't need a "special day" to honor my mom - that should be done every day, or at least this is the way how I live. On another note, nowadays there are "special days" for all sorts of things, like "day of the apple", "day of (insert name of illness here)", etc. The average person probably doesn't even remember all these "special days".

As for the IPad, Android stuff, Games4TheWorld is a Windows (PC) game/software uploader, therefore there isn't really any "support" for these platforms on here. You are free to post these questions here:

But I can't guarantee that you will get answers to your questions, if you post them here (you may have to ask about this kind of stuff on another forum).

Yes, I can confirm it's Mother's Day here in the Netherlands too. But someone on the Facebook Page said Mother's Day was about a month ago in their country, the United Kingdom.

You're right about those special days. I think the only have a commercial purpose nowadays. They sell a lot of themed stuff.

I really enjoy mothers day myself. But we don't spend a lot of money on it because that's not the purpose. My daughter made something at school to give me, this year they all crafted flowers from colorful paper and wrote a poem. I bought my mother something thoughtful.
I don't believe in expensive mothers'day gifts.

We also celebrated the mother's day in last Sunday. I always the tradition, but I don't like seeing that poeple are using these days for selling more stuff. The irony is, such as Valentine's Day or Father's Day, they were created by sellers, lol.

Best gifts are hand-made ones... My mother has pretty big collection of hand-made cards and she loves reading them Smile
