extreme long loading times Empty extreme long loading times

Post by Guest Mon 23 Jun 2014, 16:28

Hello,
I have a problem with my sims 3.
The game runs fine without lagging.
After the launcher, the game loads buth after i chose a city the loading bar will fill up for like 95% and then become extremely slow. I waited for more then 3 hours and it still wouldnt load the game/the city. I tried different city's.

What can i do? I combined packages to decrease loading times, made no difference.
Im really frustrated cause i haven't played for months.. there's always something wrong with it.
I used delphy's custard, sp3e etc. to check my cc. Got rid of the conflicts and errors.

I dont understand that it works, it doesnt lagg or freezes, just wont load..
Who can help me with this problem?

I had a problem with long load/save times though not as ridiculously long as yours and found that moving most my save files to a different backup location helped. I only keep 2-4 in my save folder(not including the auto-generated backups).
I had looked the problem up online and also deleted everything in my DCBackup folder EXCEPT ccmerged (Do NOT delete ccmerged but everything else can go).
I also keep screenshots and exports out of the Sims folder though I've only seen people mention screenshots being an issue. Basically if I don't need it actively it gets moved to a safe backup location.

If you haven't deleted your cache files you can try deleting those
CASPartCache.package, compositorCache.package, scriptCache.package, simCompositorCache.package, socialCache.package (I delete mine everyday when I first turn pc on)

There are a few other things listed here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t4692-game-lag-possible-fixes

Hope something here works for you ^^

Hello,

Are you actually using any (core) mods for your Sims 3 game ? If so, read this here:

https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t16587-infinite-neighborhood-loading-screen-possible-fix

Beyond that, there aren't many other explanations, but let's see...did the game work in the past, or did you just install it, and "discovered" this glitch ?

So did you do anything specific with your game, before this glitch happened ? Can you also try removing this Portrait Panel mod again ? There aren't many other explanations left, actually...

After uploading and downloading some cc, my sims would start. I could push the start button in the launcher buth then i would get a black screen with a blue circle and after hours that same screen didn't change one bit.. So i removed the cc i downloaded, actually reinstalled all my sims game and all packages. Now its the problem that the sims will start but the loading bar is stuck.

Can you start "fresh", and rename the folder "The Sims 3", located in My Documents/Electronic Arts ? Just change the folder's name into anything you want...and re-start the game then. Make a new savegame, and see if it loads.

I changed the name of the folder, doesn't fix the problem. In fact ive got a extra problem now: all the neighbourshoods dissapearred? I cant select any.. Its empty..

//EDIT

https://s90.photobucket.com/user/davidsfiance/media/IMG_2799.jpg.html  --> this is what my problem looks like.. I tried this solution: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/06/tutorial-resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling.html didn't help either..

I also had an old back up folder of my sims 3, i placed it back to mydocument>sims 3 folder that didn't help either. I check my game files, and every expension nothing out of the ordinary.. Im so confused and frustrated. I spend days getting my game to work, read a lot of forums, nothing seems to help..

I'm not sure what's happening in your game at this point. Just renaming the folder I mentioned doesn't cause this problem; so I guess you had that problem from the beginning ? For now, re-do the steps from #2 to #4 here:

https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

And THEN you re-name the folder back to normal. Re-start the game and see if anything improved.
