Seasons need the sims 3 installed Empty Seasons need the sims 3 installed

Hi, so I downloaded the sims 3 (base game) and The Sims 3: Seasons from here. I downloaded the sims 3 and although in the installation guide it said that it'd ask me for disk 1, it didn't; However, the base game installed just okay BUT when I tried just playing the base game, it said it needed the disk. I then tried to install the expansion pack, but it said that it needs The Sims 3 installed which it already is. 

I'm very confused, please help! :c

You probably did not install the game correctly. Try uninstalling the expansion and base game then reinstall base game. I believe you will need to mount both files and during installation it will ask you to insert disk 1 which you will choose from a drop down menu. Then follow the rest of the instructions to install expansions. 

This is how I did it, unless the instructions have changed it should work. Hope this helps.

If you "didn't need the disk 1", how can you properly install the game ? Smile  So yes, try un-installing the game and then re-boot the computer ! After that, re-install the base game. You can also use the tool "Your Un-Installer Pro" to help you with the un-install. Get it here:

Open the program after installing, and choose "Super mode", and then re-boot the computer. Good luck and keep us posted !

Yup, I mount both files and I tried uninstalling and installing it again several times but SIMS3 never asks for Disc1, it just goes straight to 'The Sims 3 Has Been Succesfully Installed' :c
