HP's SimplePass not working in Firefox version 31 and above - fix. [GUIDE]

Hello everyone,

HP's SimplePass software used to work fine with older Firefox versions, but it somehow doesn't work with the newer Firefox versions. You'll notice it working in Internet Explorer though.

In order to fix SimplePass in newer Firefox versions - so that the fingerprint loging popups pop-up again when a login is detected - follow the steps below:

1. First make sure that you downloaded the latest version of SimplePass - HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software version - here: http://goo.gl/hFkQqi (They stopped releasing newer versions, because the company behind the technology was bought by Apple, or something like that)
There's no need to uninstall old versions of the software, just install the new version "over" the old version.

2. Now open Firefox and go to the "Plugins" page, either via the menu, or by using the [LCTRL] + [LSHIFT] + [A] shortcut on your keyboard. Look for the SimplePass plugin and set it to "Never Activate".
3. Close ALL your Firefox windows. Even restart your PC if you think that's necessary. (The point is that you restart Firefox completely)
4. After doing so, open Firefox again and go back to the "Plugins" page. This time set the plugin to "Always Activate".

5. Restart your browser and... ENJOY using SimplePass with the latest Firefox version again!
