Hello dear Simmers,
A new update is out for the Sims 4, introducing ... wait for it ... POOLS !!!!!
We kindly ask you to wait before updating your game.
We are working on the update, and we will come back to you when it is done.
At this moment, a new Ultimate Fix will be created, we will update the links so you can download it and update your game.
Please note that if you do not wait and update your game, you will be unable to play until the release of the updated Ultimate Fix.

Nice idea ! Although: to my knowledge, it's a bit more difficult here to update the game "accidentally", than in Sims 3.
Read: unless you deliberately download and put in updated files (taken from the "Program files"-location), you won't be able to update the pirated game.
But feel free - anyone - to correct me in this respect, if I'm wrong.

I have to admit I'm myself unsure, lol.
Since the pirated game is not legit (i.e. not "registered" to an Origin account), I'd assume that you can't get updates via Origin either. And even if you managed to update it somehow, you'd be asked for a serial number upon re-starting the game next time.
But still: I think it's more difficult to update the game "accidentally", compared to Sims 3.

Just as a note, Ghosts are already in our release. It's updated to the October 1's patch, after all. You should be able to get them to appear.

My Older sister installed the *ahem* Skidrow-crack version on my computer, i told her to wait until G4TW one, but apparently, it was too long for her. Is this personal crack yours? I would like to change it with your version if i could

My guess is that later on, you can simply copy + paste the new G4TW "Sims 4 Ultimate fix", over your current installation. But then: no warranties on that (yet).

Hey guys! First of all, thank you for making TS4 free for me. I didn't expect I'd play the game as early as now compared to TS3. The game runs smoothly and I don't have any problems with it.
Also, I can't wait for you guys to upload the update for the pools! They look so fun on the trailer and it's already tempting but I don't want to ruin my game by giving it an update that's not officially from you guys. Can we get an estimate of when it will be released, just to be sure?

You can try copying and pasting the stuff into your sister's other base game location then, wherever she got it installed. The new stuff must replace the old files in your base game installation folder, no matter where exactly it is located.

This is the 3DM game, and you cannot use our Ultimate fix on that one. I'm afraid you must re-download our base game version. Sorry, but I assumed you were talking about a release that works similar to ours.

This is the 3DM game, and you cannot use our Ultimate fix on that one. I'm afraid you must re-download our base game version. Sorry, but I assumed you were talking about a release that works similar to ours.

I managed to do it wth G4TW too except some of the new pools content has codes and stuff in the names like *** D453F *** (random) But thats how some stuff appears like for example,the button to edit your Pool outfit in CAS.

Look on Piratebay for that update, or wait just a little more while. The Admin hasn't been online for a little while, but I already posted the update among the Mods & Admins; it just needs "final approval".

Hello nicefunfungirl and welcome to the forum,
Originally I had that too, and the reason this error is coming up - I suspect - is because you are using outdated language string data files. Meaning: in your Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder you do not have the necessary files to show the interactions about pools. I had that error too, but once I downloaded and installed these files (included in the update !!) everything was smooth again.
If you already got your update elsewhere, please, make sure to apply it correctly. If you are prompted to replace files, you MUST replace ALL old files in the install location, to get the newest update.
If this doesn't help you, please open a new thread, so that we can help you more efficiently.

Please wait a little longer for G4TW's update; it will have the latest available instructions too. Or if you cannot wait, get the update from Piratebay and double-click on the "setup.exe". When prompted, you must choose the install location of your Sims 4 base game, to install the update there.

Downloaded from torrent site. But be mindful that some updates might erase your whole sims 4 file (that's happened to me first time and I need to reinstall again @@).
So if you feel less secure, wait patiently and I believe it will come pretty soon from g4tw

The other version installed fine, but crashes my game in the beginning. I've heard mixed outcomes, so I'm just going to wait and re-update it when the G4TW version comes out. Currently stalking the forums for it.
