SimsCity 4 Deluxe installation problems. [SOLVED]

Hi, dont know if someone already made a topic of this but I have been having a problem with the installation process. It starts installing normally but then stops at 48% and asks for disk 2. I see no such option in either Disk  file or the other. I have already tried reinstalling and moving things around. Im stumped.   Unfortunately I cant screencap. Is there a fix or something?

Wasnt specific sorry, I used Winrar to get the disks(Isos?) and then used the (ultraIso?) to further extract. Then I mounted the stuff inside to their own files titled Disk 1 and Disk 2.  I press autorun to install.

Theoretically it should be doable to extract the contents of the two disc images into one single (!) folder, and then run the setup. If done correctly; but I myself haven't tried it with this specific release. But in general you can just unrar the two disc images, and mount them (simultaneously). Should do as well.

Question, are the 2 mounted files supposed to go into a single file along with #cracked and #installation guide?  And is it possible the Simcity 4 Deluxe download is missing something because thats the feeling I am getting. I have installed The Sims 3 before this and there was no problem. But I just cant seem to get this to finish installing

Nothing is missing, if you downloaded the torrent 100%. I'm not sure how exactly you are trying to install this, but you may be new to disc images. You have two ways:


1) Way 1: you extract the contents of both disc images into one single folder (yes, one folder), and then run the setup that is located inside the folder. Doesn't matter if the #crack and install guide are included.

2) Way 2: you "mount" the two disc images. For an introduction on the topic, see this guide here.

I mesed around with option 2 and it worked. Thank you, Ghost Man!!

No problem; I believe in that case it could work as well if the contents of both .ISOs are extracted into a folder, but in the end it may be better to stick with known procedures, a.k.a. mounting the images.
