SIMS 3 MANUAL PATCH & ULTIMATE FIX QUESTION [SOLVED] Empty SIMS 3 MANUAL PATCH & ULTIMATE FIX QUESTION [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Tue 28 Apr 2015, 02:10

Update: Thank you for the kind responses, I appreciate them a lot. I've downloaded both the Ultimate Fix and the Manual Patch about two days ago; the installations of which, in turn, have been very comprehensible experiences. I've simply replaced my mod packages with versions compatible for the latest patch, and left my custom content without much tweaking - so far, they've worked perfectly fine.

Hello all, I have on my PC The Sims 3 Base Game along with Night Life and Showtime expansion packs (all of these are cracked versions.)

I just have a few questions before I install the Manual Patch and the Ultimate Fix.

  • Do I need to uninstall my expansion packs before installing the patch?
  • Am I required to download the Ultimate Fix after the Manual Patch, or can I use the former without the latter?
  • Do I need to remove all of my custom content before patching?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to the forum!
I'll answer your questions in order:
- No, you don't have to uninstall anything. The patch offers some updates for your expansions as well.
-That depends on your current base game version. A new patch version will not be compatible with your current crack.
-You don't have to remove custom content before patching your game, but keep in mind that if you're using mods, you may need to update them as well. It is recommended to remove your packages before using a patch, but I can't say I've ever experienced or heard about ill effects.
