When Selecting Play/Build House, Game Returns to Town Select Empty When Selecting Play/Build House, Game Returns to Town Select

After just installing the Ultimate Fix and the Get To Work expansion, I was able to make my family, but every time I select which house I want to play or build, the game just returns me to the select town screen. Any suggestions?
