Can't cook at all. Empty Can't cook at all.

Hey all,

So my sims can't cook. I tried what Carlos said in this topic and this one but nothing. My sims can't cook or bake. I even tried playing without mods but I still can't cook or bake. 

Any other suggestions out there?

Hello again,


Try changing the folder name of the folder "The Sims 4", located under Documents\Electronic Arts. Then start up the game, make a new save (for now at least) and see if the glitch persists. You're going to "Lose" your old savefiles for the moment, but depending on the outcome of this, the old savefile can be re-inserted if needed.

The issue seems to be gone when I do what Carlos said.

Have you tried narrowing down the cause of the problem ? Take the stuff from your renamed TS4-folder, and put it back in slowly (one-by-one), into the TS4 folder that has been freshly-created. So put either the CC in first, or the saves, and start the game each time in-between ? Is it working ? Then exit the game, put the next item(s) in, start the game, see if it works, and so on. You get the idea.

The error could be with one of your mods, or it could have to do with a corrupted savefile too.

Sorry for my late reply. 
 I deleted all of my save files recently, so I don't think it's that. 
Might have to go through 20+ folders and over 5k of cc/mods to find the solution. 

Kinda guessed it was a mod/cc. 

Really appreciate the help!
