Cities Skylines text is too small.
Hi everyone.
I downloaded and installed cities skylines, but I can barely read anything.
I tried changing the size of the screen etc, but it doesn't seem to help.
Does anyone have any idea how to make it a bit easier to read without having to give myself neck ache trying to see the screen ?
Thanks

Hello,
First of all, welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
I did some research, and it seems like this is a known issue with the game.
It seems the only way to fix it, is by using Mods. Since you're using a non-Steam version of the game it's going to be a bit hard to use Steam Workshop Mods.
Therefore, please try this non-Steam Mod: http://smods.ru/archives/5390
Note that I have not tested this, so I cannot confirm that it actually works, but it's worth trying.
It'll download a .DLL file which you have to place in one of the game's folders. I assume the root folder. (So the folder where you installed the game to)
After that, start the game and follow the instructions from the quote above.
Good luck and please keep us updated!

Cities: Skylines Font Selector ver0.9.1 (compatible with v1.4)
Adds options for Font/BaseSize in OPTIONS menu in the game and enables to change the font and size dynamically.
Usage
1) Enable this Mod in the content manager.
2) Font option is added to OPTIONS → Font Selector.
3) Select the font and size.

Hello,
Yes, the display text is small indeed. I tried experimenting with different screen resolutions, but since the game - by default - doesn't offer that many options, it didn't make much of a difference in the end.
And yes, if you want to use mods in general, you'll have to look for non-Steam-Workshop stuff.

Not sure, but it doesn't seem to work.
I put it into the folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cities Skylines\Files\Mods
and turned it on in the game. But next to the name of the mod it says (not working)
I've possibly done it wrong.

Try putting the mod in the other location:
C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods
But it may also be that this particular mod doesn't work with the patch version of G4TW's "Cities Skylines"...

Thanks. I've tried that now too, but I don't see it at all in the game.
Never mind, I'll have to get some binoculars

Sorry to hear that. Indeed, that mod may not work with the (older) patch version of G4TW's Cities Skylines-basegame. We were planning to release an update for the game, but the plan was dropped due to technical problems: the DLC that were supposed to show up, simply didn't during the testing.
I'm going to give this new update another shot, since it's a nice game, and a good alternative to SimCity5 (for which there is - still - no good & pirated version available).
I'll also leave the topic open for the time being in case anybody knows a different solution.
