PS3 modding questions.

ive been debating modding my ps3 for ages, but it looks so complicated for one,

plus risky.. in a getting banned sense. i havent used my ps3 really since like last year.

one thing that would be helpful in my consideration is one question mainly...

is psn really necessary on a modded ps3? i dont use the psn store, dont play any

games online and have no ps3 friends. so are there any major benefitss that can only be

aquired thru signing in to psn. or is modded system even usable without psn connection?

i kind of feel i want to try it, but dont want to risk my account.

ive considered it a few times but always chicken out lol

i still dont know if i'd actually do it, but i am curious.

As much as I know when you jailbreak PS3 console you can't access anymore PSN Store. I'm also trying to jailbreak PS3 Slim. PS3 Fat is easiest to jailbreak, but Slim and Super Slim are tough nuts to break.
