TS4.exe vs TS4_x64.exe Question. [SOLVED]
Hi everyone!
I'm pretty sure I am running a Windows 64-bit OS, but my game won't start when I choose the TS4_x64.exe icon, (It gives me an error beginning with "Run the game as an Administrator if it is the first time you start it ..."), so I am running it as just TS4.exe.
My questions are whether it should run as the 64 version, and if so, can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong, and also, is there a difference between the two and of so, what is the main difference(s).
Thanks!

Hello @xerendipity,
First, make sure to have ALL Origin-related program windows closed. Log out of Origin, and close everything, if you have it running. If you are still unsure, open the task manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Under "processes" look for something that has Origin in its process name. Right-click on it and choose end task/process.
Also, did you happen to change your language, via this method here?
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t23293-how-to-change-the-in-game-display-language-in-the-sims-4-updated-on-22-07-2016
I know that if you put a wrong value under the language-line, a similar (or the same?) error can come up. If you changed your language that way, please double-check whether you put the correct value in the text file.
Good luck for now!
P.S. if your Windows operating system is a 64-bit version, then yes, you should be able to use the TS4_x64.exe.

Re: TS4.exe vs TS4_x64.exe Question. [SOLVED]
Thanks so much for the reply!
I was able to get it to run by making sure I was completely out of the previous game (it takes a while to actually shut down once the game screen closes) and right-clicking it and choosing Run As Administrator.
I find that it is much more stable. I had somewhat frequent crashes when running the TS4 version (I believe because i have a HUGE amount of custom content) but it seems to not crash on the x64 version - knock on wood!
