Sims 1 complete collection keeps loading

Hi there,

I know it is a common problem that the sims 1 keeps loading. I've followed up the advise to remove the folders UserData, UserData0 and UserData1. The game worked fine after that.

However, I have clicked to another neighbourhood ingame, after which the game started to loading all the expansions again and again. This keeps happening when I open the game, so basically I cannot play it anymore. 

I've checked whether the folders UserData, UserData0 and UserData1 were present, but they are not.

Is there a way to start the game on neighbourhood 1 again? Or any tips?

It's a long time ago that I played that game.
If I remember well, UserData is for the default neighbourhood
UserData2, 3, 4 ....... stand for the additional neighbourhoods.

When you have any problems like continious loading try this:

Say you have problems with neighbourhood 1
Copy/paste UserData2 and name the copy f.e. UserData2_old
Now copy the contents of UserrData8 over to UserData2
Unfortunately you will loose all game details for that neighbourhood

Alternatively you can download UserData folders from HERE
As you can see from the filesize UserData is larger becuase all the extra items (towns/cities/areas) are already included
Rightclick on the required UserData and choose Download
After downloading extract with Winrar

I have removed UserData earlier. The game worked fine on the default neighbourhood (neighbourhood 1). The only UserData files in the Sims folder were UserData2 up to ...8. I have tried your trick and changed them one by one, but nothing worked.

I have removed all UserData folders, including TemplateUserData, and the game still keeps eternal loading, so I assume the problem is due to something else.

Is there perhaps another way to force the game to start loading the default neighbourhood instead of neighbourhood 2?

Have you tried downloading the empty UserData folders ?

Yes. Unfortunally the game keeps loading eternally.

Having (I'm assuming) the same issue.  For me, the game will load into the neighborhood and just keep loading the same expansions over and over again.  I'm gonna tweak around a bit and see if I can find a solution.

That occured to me at first. Then I removed the files UserData, UserData0 and UserData 1, that fixed the problem. Untill i (accidently) swapped to another neighbourhood ...
