Just base game.

Just base game.
So I downloaded The Sims 4 from your page, and while browsing the guides to install I noticed that in the installation guide for TS4 you specified to download and install the expansion packs. So my question is:
Can I install the base game and run it and AFTER having run the game, could I still install the expansion packs? Or should I download the expansions and install them BEFORE running the game?
Maybe it is a dumb question but I don't want to risk it.

Hello,
Welcome to the forum.
It should be no problem if you wanted to run just the base game for an unspecified time, and then install the expansions later. Only thing is, you will have a lower gameversion than the highest possible pirated version (which is 1.25).

Hello and welcome to the Forum @EunRisk,
I moved your post to "The Sims 4 Downloads Support". That said, it really doesn't matter. You can install the base game, then run it (or not run it), play with it. And if you like, add the other DLC on top of it later on.

Re: Just base game.
Thanks for the welcoming and the info, I ran the game it runs perfectly, I'm downloading the expansions now, so I guess I'll just have the lower version.
For later updates, does it have any effect having a lower updated version?
Thanks.

no, City Living will bring you to version 1.25
Which means that you are uptodate with the exception of toddlers. (version 1.26)

Maybe you worded this unluckily, but (in the sense of how you worded it), if it DID have an effect, you couldn't apply any updates whatsover. But then, I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Alas, in the event of future updates, you ONLY have to copy & paste that again, over your installation.
