Mac Sims 3 Cannot change Language from French > English

Hi everyone,
Before any ask, I have looked everywhere for this solution. I CANNOT figure out how to change the language on my MacBook for Sims 3 from French to English.

I cannot uninstall/reinstall the game because when I lived in France, my older cousin somehow transferred the game files to my computer.

It is so uncomfortable for me to play in French because it is not my native language and I need to figure out how to do it in English.

I have tried editing the always_edit.reg but it does not let me edit the file as it is "read only".

For the MAC, can anyone help me? Please!
