Any New Open World RPGs? Empty Any New Open World RPGs?

Post by Guest Mon 15 May 2017, 06:43

So I JUST finished the witcher 3 dlc (yeah I know I took forever  IAmSoHappyEmergahwd ) and I'm not sure if there's anything out currently that's going to fill the void. I played the crap out of some Far Cry: Primal but I mean it's a far cry, it does eventually get boring. And all my favorite titles like Dargon Age or The Elder Scrolls are either games I've played too much or are going the whole mmorpg route (looking at you Bethseda). So is there anything coming out within several months that's interesting? I heard once that Cyberpunk 2077 was CD Projekt Red's next project but I'm not sure if it's made much progress. Thanks so much for the suggestions!

How can you even play too much Elder Scrolls? Laughing
Perhaps you are interested in a fanproject? It's called "Morroblivion", they've taken MorrowinD into Oblivion's game engine, it's complete with all of the original MorrowinD quests.
The catch is, you need to own both of the games. They're also bringing both MorrowinD and Oblivion to Skyrim's game engine, but it's not finished yet.

I can tell that you may not be into MMORPG that much, but... I am loving ESO, to be honest. There's no reason why you can't quest by yourself.

Any New Open World RPGs? Empty Re: Any New Open World RPGs?

Whoa!!!  That's made my day! I have the whole series on steam. I've owned ESO on various platforms and the game itself wasn't bad. It was way better than I thought. But with any MMO comes much more frequent updates. I have a TB of data I can download a month with my ISP but my husband and I somehow always go over so anything with semi-large frequent updates can be a pain. I plan to try it out whenever unlimited data becomes  a thing in my area to give it a more fair assessment. I was more mad that they remastered skyrim and not morrowind (or oblivion). And then I saw a little ad for morrowind recently on the corner of my laptop and thought it might be Bethseda bringing it up to a more recent game engine. But nope. So I'm a little bitter, but not at ESO IAmSoHappyEmergahwd

I might recommend the Fallout games, specifically Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. While not insanly open world, they still fall under that category. Fallout 4 does as well but I have not played that on anything but the Xbox One so I don't know how demanding the system requirements are.

Wait for Kingdom Come: Deliverance it is somewhat similar to TES skyrim but with no magic and dragons. But the combat is excellent it puts the TES skyrim combat to shame. You should watch reviews about it you might be excited like me because it's still isnt release yet. Its target release is in this year.
