World Adventures travelling problem
me again, im having problems when traveling. I traveled to China and when I arrived at what im guessing was base camp, my sim was no where to be found. He had completely disappeared and I had a normal interface but it was as if there was no household selected. Quit the game, loaded it back up, traveled again and same thing. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Re: World Adventures travelling problem
Hello,
Its a common problem with a number of possible causes and a number of unofficial ways to fix it.
First of all it would be important to know if you're using any mods/cc at all. Though it is doubtful that these are incompatible with WA.
Anyway, he's a trick that may work:
(from the sims3.com forums)
If you are stuck in China with your sims missing and in the edit town mode (where the system prompts you to choose a household to play) just pick a random family and the system will suddenly think you're on vacation again. What will happen is that you will then be able to go back home via your phone/computer.
When you return home your original sim family should be there, plus the new foreign family you just moved over. Simply kick the new additions out from your household and continue play.
But if you ask me, that's just a way of solving it if the problem already occurred, it can still happen again. Which can be quite frustrating.
There's a simple way to prevent these errors from happening at all, and that's a user created mod called Traveller. It is created to prevent these kind of errors and opens up other travel possibilities as well, which is why I installed this mod in the first place. It lifts travel restrictions for certain Sims. The mods FAQ can be found here and you can get the mod itself from that same site. Have a look around while you're there, this guy has created a bunch of interesting mods. The guy who creates these is a genius, I'm using a handful of his mods myself and I've never had any problems with the game at all.

Hello,
You may have to edit the traveler options, you can do it in the home town by going to neighbourhoodview and clicking the cityhall building, which makes a menu pop up from which you can go to Nraas options. In your vacationworld its the base camp.
Is it possible to exit Edit town mode at all? I'm using the mod myself but I never had this.

Re: World Adventures travelling problem
Yes it is I can choose a household and play as if it were the homeworld but I can't play with my original sim as if they were vacationing.
