Heya Software Whisperers

Help Noob

So I downloaded your win8.1 pro, burned it to a DVD+R (3 times, third time at the lowest burnable speed)
printed the instructions, went to the UEFI firmware settings altered the boot order and disabled safe boot
_
But when I restart with either disk it just doesn't do anything, it continues to boot to the win8.1 that came
with the laptop(it does start with the disk drive, I can hear it)[I've kept updating win hoping it would stop glitching].
There isn't even a screen or anything to show that it's there and I know it's there because I can open F: and see inside the DVD
_
It's not the optical drive or the burning software because I have a linux distro that I made myself and that works.(need sims tho)
could microsoft have released a update that blocks this iso? or is there a step that I've missed? I is confused
_
(I kinda wanted to do a install that erases everything instead of formating first and then installing Suspect , i'm not that knowledgable yet  )
Thanks!
All Hail Carlos!

Hello,

I used that download myself back then and it worked. If you have a USB-flashdrive, try using "Rufus", which is a tool that helps you creating a bootable Windows-flashdrive: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

You should also be able to start the installation after booting Windows; are you able to go 'inside' the drive F: and run the disc? Normally it should bring up the installer and then re-boot automatically.
