Sims 3 black screen on launch

Started sims 3 as i used to, the game opens as a black screen and then tabs out, back to the desktop with the game still running..

My drivers are up to date, using win10..

I have tried switching compatibility to older versions of windows since that have fixed similar problems, also tried to change resolution or refresh rate..

I would prefer a fix where i dont have to reinstall the game because my computer is SLOW, but if its the only thing i can do ill do that..

Got the game to start somehow and it now asks for disc after the game has loaded into the start menu

Waheyyy, back to black screen and game tabs out, back to the desktop with the games still running.
