!HELP! Game freeze at first plumbob 30-08-2017

Hey there!

I'm really frustrated and stuck at the minute!
My game keeps loading up but freezing on first plumbob. Heres a list of what ive tried...

1. Re-installing everything.

2. Adding the new EC3 fix.

3. Adding the new 'Game' folder for infinite loading screen.

4. Disabling firewall/windows defender and adding TS4 to exceptions and all the other files like C://programfiles etc.

5. Ive actually tried everything other forums have said and still get the freezing at first plumbob!!!

When I first opened the game it took me to the main menu but after closing the toddler pack pop up it froze and since then it freezes at first plumbob.

Please help...

Have you tried a new Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts by renaming that folder f.e. The Sims 4_Old ?

Just tried that... got to main menu but froze when I pressed 'X' after the new toddler pack again :c

Yes, I've had that problem before. It runs through all the "welcome screens" and got stuck at the very last one.
There is something wrong between your program and your progression (files in Program Files and in Documents).
I could solve it by preparing an empty folder on an other PC. You can download it HERE
First rename your exitsing folder The Sims 4 in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_old

Extract the download with Winrar, change the name of the folder to that of your language and put in the directory Documents\Electronic Arts. Now start your game as an Administrator.
When it now starts up correctly you can transfer you saves and trays etc. from your old The Sims 4 folder to the newly created one.

this worked however now I'm missing game packs and when I re install the game packs, it freezes....

Hello, I am having this exact same issue. I am attempting a fresh re install of every game on a fresh installation of Win 7. I have updated the Microsoft C++ 2013 files and I run as administrator with all the correct files blocked on my antivirus and I have the firewall exception rule. I hangs at first plum-bob loading screen and then freezes. When creating a new The Sims 4 Folder by renaming the old one with _old It gets to the welcome screen and I can close all but the toddler pop up introduction/preview, where it freezes.

System:
Win 7 professional
64 bit  Operating system
32GB RAM
Processor Intel Core i7-2600k
CPU @ 3.40 GHz
Geforce GTX 750Ti Graphics card

Same here. I have found however that about half a dozen of my packs are missing (completely from my computer in fact), despite them all being there in my game last week. I'm suspecting something "cleaned them up". I'm still trying to find where I can download a couple of them to no avail.

So, it sounds a little silly to say... but perhaps check to make sure you aren't missing any packs you had before? We are at EP 1-3, GP 1-5 and SP's 1-12 now.

Same problem here, I used to have all the expansions. Sadly half of them dissapeared from the game since I added the newest expansion Toddlers. I've tried everything, re-installed the game a thousand times and tried everything I could find like the new game folder, the EC3 fix, even a new The Sims 4 folder in my documents but nothing seems to fix this problem..

additional packs do not suddenly disappear from your computer. Most probably they can no longer be accessed as they are installed/copied to an incorrect location.
I've seen examples here where the files and folders that should be in Program Files are in fact copied to the Sims folder in Documents and vice versa.

I think its because you didnt apply corrrectly the patch.

Try using MD5 Summer and a Sums verifier for Sims 4 that u can find Online.

Its EZ to use, you verify the game and it will show u all the correct and incorrect files.

When finish if u can show me a pic, i can help u with that.

I don't use G4TW fix, I use other from Other page that is reliable.

And works for me. I think its like easier to install
