I think something is wrong with the game.
thank you
Hi @noemiaPolarbear wrote:Download and Install Parrenthood.

That's actually caused by missing language strings from the Vampire update. As Polarbear mentioned, installing the Parenthood will fix this as the strings are included. If you don't feel like installing Fitness however, simply rename your current Game folder to Game_ and then install Parenthood. Else, you can follow the instructions above.

Re: Sims 4 Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling Stuff.
As of lately we have seen the following problems:
* Missing language strings after installation of Vampires/Toddlers/Bowling
* Infinite loading of households after installation of Vampires/Toddlers/Bowling
* Game in Spanish after Toddler Stuff.
@The_gh0stm4n, @Ageha
Please publish a full and complete new Game folder based on Toddler Stuff with the following instructions:
Only when you have installed Vampires/Toddlers/Bowling or higher
1. Open your installation folder Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
2. Copy the file RldOrigin.ini to your desktop
3. Delete the existing folder Game and Game_ (if it exists)
4. Download the new folder Game, Extract with Winrar, Copy to your installation folder.
5. Copy RldOrigin.ini back from your desktop to the Folder Game\Bin
Warning: Do not use this method on City Living or earlier DLC's
Edit: Should such a download already exist, my apologies.
Mod edit: pettiness removed.

Re: Sims 4 Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling Stuff.
@Polarbear
The problems only started after the Vampire update honestly. At one point there was a language string folder and temp game folder that can be downloaded to fix the bug. But with the Parenthood update, both the endless loading and missing strings were fixed.
Rather than confusion, I'd say more to 'careful' reading. Like the ultimate fix, how many times did the people download thinking it would actually fix bugs in their games? And I thought the instructions for the endless loading was pretty clear enough at the topic below:

I'm saddened myself a bit by these problems, but I guess we have to roll with them now, and make the best of the situation.

Re: Sims 4 Toddlers, Vampires & Bowling Stuff.
@The_gh0stm4n:
I appreciate these efforts, but downloading the game for version 1.33 results in showing in the opening page of The Sims 4 that ALL DLC's are installed (no icons greyed out), even when f.e. Parenthood, Fitness, Toddler Stuff are not installed at all.
The Origin.ini in the download has CNT 138. (up to and incl. Toddler Stuff)
In such cases people should copy their actual Origin.ini to the Desktop and copy it back to the newly downloaded folder Game\Bin

But that's not what I meant.
Suppose someone has installed all DLC's upto and incl. Parenthood.
Using the new Game folder (where CNT=138) would give the impression that Fitness as well as Toddler Stuff is now installed as it is no longer greyed out in the starting page of the Sims 4.

So a Game-folder for the Parenthood-DLC then? Try the one from the 1.30.105.1010 patch here (that is applied on top of the existing Parenthood-DLC):
http://tinyurl.com/ya5zeuek
If needed try merging the "Game"-folder from that 1.30.105.1010 patch with the "Game"-folder included in G4TW's Parenthood-DLC. Though it would be easier of course to just follow through with the instructions in the TS4 Must-read guide up until the latest DLC. Then send your creation to Ageha if you like.
Also, your repeated passive-aggressive undertone regarding G4TW's torrents and "fixes" (despite your well-meaning "I appreciate all efforts"-dislcaimer) has been duly noted. Just keep in mind that we are also human beings only, and we make mistakes. In my case I have been somewhat pre-occupied with real-life problems in the past 6 months or so. Given the lack of Moderators with good-enough knowledge about TS4, those mistakes should be forgiven, especially given that you can fix any issues relatively easily. The alternative would be to not release torrents at all. Do you understand that or do I have to make myself clearer?
And before you try being funny in the sense of "the alternative is to get things right"...just keep it to yourself.
//EDIT
Polarbear wrote:Using the new Game folder (...) would give the impression that Fitness as well as Toddler Stuff is now installed as it is no longer greyed out in the starting page of the Sims 4.
Don't you think that maybe users should bring along some common sense as well? Of course they won't have the Toddlers Stuff DLC if they haven't downloaded it in the first place, even if the cute icons are lit up. You keep degrading G4TW's "fixes" while at the same time putting an extraordinary amount of time and effort into "making things more comfortable". Morally a good stance for sure, and after all we are (still) about Support too. But it will only discourage users even more, to use their common sense. Plus, 90% of people seem to use the entire DLC pack anyhow so I haven't paid much attention to fixes for the previous torrent releases so far.
Maybe I will address the issue of the defunct-G4TW torrents a bit more strongly in the TS4 Must-Read, though.

Either I didn't express myself clear enough or you misunderstood the message.
There is no intention from my side to be offending, sarcastic or using any "passive-agressive undertone" about G4TW downloads, fixes or whatsoever.
I only aired a suggestion here without any hidden intentions.

No, I don't think I misunderstood anything.
Polarbear wrote:There is no intention from my side (...)
And I don't care what your intentions are either (since - as you're surely aware - there is no way to prove that; otherwise everybody could use "I only had good intentions" as an excuse for breaking rules). Always remember: make sure to voice any criticism you may have in a normal and friendly conversational manner.
Too much to ask? Then don't post on here.
