Uninstalling the latest patch

Uninstalling the latest patch
The latest patch for the Sims 4 (as some have mentioned) messes with a lot of CC. This has unfortunately made most of my households virtually unplayable.
I was wondering if it was possible to "uninstall" this last patch, in a sense.
I've tried the "too easy to be true" solutions of putting the old "Game" folder back in (which didn't work). Followed by copy/pasting the game files from the previous patch over (this also did not work).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the Forum @caidoom,
In theory you could look if the previous DLC (Cats & Dogs) contains the exact same files as the 1.37 update; if that was the case you could just re-apply the Cats & Dogs torrent and then be "rolled back". If there are files in the 1.37 update that are NOT included in the Cats & Dogs torrent, you'd have to take them from the Fitness Stuff torrent, et cetera.
I know this sounds tricky, and it is indeed difficult to explain in words, but at that point I would actually recommend that you roll with the 1.37 patch because the alternative is not really worth the effort in my opinion. If you don't want to go through the fiddling of the files that I indicated in the previous paragraph you could also repeat the steps from 3 to 11 here:

That means essentially, re-apply all DLC.
I'm sorry there is no easier solution, but given the way the game works technically it's not possible in a different way. Unlike previous Sims games.
