Mods aren't working.
I've downloaded and tested out a ton of mods and ccs for my sims 4 game. I first started to search for mods after I downloaded the laundry stuff pack. I've looked around and notice I was putting them in the wrong place, but after putting them in documents/ea/thesims4/mods nothing was working anyways. Should I uninstall the game, or delete the mods folder and recreate it with a new resource.cfg?

Hello and welcome to the Forum @Rickeisha,
No need to uninstall anything (yet). What kind of mods are you trying to use? Keep in mind that a lot of "clothing" items are just recolorings or existing EA stuff, so you have to click on the existing thumbnails in CAS, and then look for the new colors/patterns.
Also, some script mods consists of multiple individual files, so make sure to read any available information from the mod creator(s).
If you put the items in the right location, the items work - or they are not compatible with your game version. Some other threads that could be relevant for your case:

Good luck for now!

Re: Mods aren't working.
I'm trying to download different hair types and clothes, stuff like that. I've been targeting up to date stuff, and things that say they work for cats and dogs. I even did the restore default setting thing from one of the articles you gave me. I also checked to see if they were there even though the notification didn't pop up. Nothing showed.

Hi, sorry for this rather stupid question, you did extract them from their rar files? I have 10Gigs of mods, some very old, and they all work, I know script mods might have an issue, but the others not really, If you run the fix mentioned above, using sims 4 studio, especially Cas stuff does get fixed.Have you tried that?

I did extract files, unless I somehow did that wrong. I just did it and it said nothing was fixed or needed to be fixed.

Good choice. When its downloaded it will run some time to register the mods and if it does read them, they should appear in game. good luck

Hi, have you enabled custom content and script mods in your game settings?

You are not putting those mods in subfolders, within "Mods", I hope? In case you were you could try this:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t20991-cc-mods-not-showing-in-game-fix
That would allow a structure of subfolders.
Other than that, feel free to link some of the items that do not work here for you, so that other users can (maybe) download and test those, themselves.

Re: Mods aren't working.
There are no subfolders since I never tried getting mods until recently. I can't send a link since I'm new, but I tried getting the zodiac trait from mods the sims, it was created by NatashaEllenx

Do you mean when you start up the game? If so then they still don't show. I even tried getting the mc command thing, still nothing. And everything is up to date. Hopefully the new patch update will fix it or something.
