Mods folder. [SOLVED]
hi everybody.
I was trying to introdruce myself with the mc command centre and tried to dl the script. I noticed i didnt had an Mods folder in mij sims4 file so i created one. Then i read you need the recource.cfg file in order to let the mods folder to work. I did al that and checked the box enable scripts.. and still the mods dont show up if i open the mods display tab... does anybody knows what i did wrong?
or isnt it possible to download mods for the game whit the downloaded packages from here because it doesnt includes the mods file?
thanx for the update!

Re: Mods folder. [SOLVED]
The Mods folder should be automatically created when you start the game.
Rename your present folder Documnts\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to The sim4_old.
Start your game
You now have a new The Sims 4 folder in that directory incl. a folder Mods
Copy this over to your The Sims 4_old.
Delete the newly created The Sims 4 and rename The Sims 4_old back to The Sims 4

Re: Mods folder. [SOLVED]
when started the game should i thanx exit the game immediatly to check if there is made a new sims 4 folder?
ill try tommorow and let you know. thanx.
//EDIT
i dont open the sims the way you do.
I have the downloaded version from this site and i have it in:
c:/program files x86/the sims 4
that where games4the world said i should place the download..
Does that file also makes the Mods file?
Because i played it many times without a mods file and it never created one after start up.
Does anybody have different sollution? or should i replace my sims 4 folder to documents/ electronic arts in order to make it work?
I read that i can create my own with a resource cfg file and that that should work too...

Downloads such as houses, cloths etc. go to the Game-progress folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 or with Windows 10 also often to One Drive\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4

Welcome to the Forum @jodelodido,
A lot of games keep their savefiles, in-game screenshots, etc. under C:\Users\(your Windows account name)\Documents, so it's a good idea to familiarize yourself in good time with that particular location.
That said, have fun with the game and feel free to get back in touch with us again anytime!
