Asus ATI Radeon HD 6450 not working
Hi there!
I recently got a new PC for Christmas that I've been working on with my dad (more like my dad's been taking over the project and making me sit by and watch, but that's besides the point). He bought me the Asus ATI Radeon HD 6450 card for the computer so I'd be able to play the sims, however the installation process has been anything but successful. Starting off with the disk, it wasn't able to download the drivers due to not being connected to the internet. Once I was able to connect the PC to the internet, I was already back at home without the disk. I decided to open up the program it had installed on my computer called Asus GPU tweak II, but was given an error message saying something along the lines of "couldn't find the .dll, install the VGA." I go to ASUS' website to get the VGA, am given a catalyst program, and then the driver install fails. I get an error message saying "package failure."
And that's where I'm at a loss.
I tried checking the device manager but it doesn't even show up there, despite my tv being plugged into the port connected to it, and it working.
I'm running windows 32 bit (have had issues upgrading to 64, that's in the works) on a dell optiplex 760. I've got 8 gb of ram I guess but since I'm still on 32 bit I can't use them all.
If anyone finds something I'd be eternally grateful!

Hello and sorry for the belated reply @ryanparrott01,
If you still needed help with that...I would recommend fetching the tool Display Driver Uninstaller; documentation on how to use the tool safely can be found on the website.
The idea is to remove any remains of your (installed?) display driver, to be able to start afresh.
Now that is just a recommendation; in theory you may be able to do without that tool. Either way, you can also use third-party tools to help you fetch (download + install) drivers for your computer. One example is "IOBit Driver Booster", and there is also a free version of that program. Feel free to give it a shot.
Good luck!

Re: Asus ATI Radeon HD 6450 not working
Hi thanks for the reply! I actually found out that I needed to go to AMD instead of Asus for the driver (which is weird because the packaging said it wasn't made by them lol) thanks for the help though!
