Runtime Error when installing EP.

I tried to install Ts3 but had a problem along the way.
First i downloaded Base game and WA, Late Night, Seasons and University EPs.
I installed Base game then i downloaded and installed Manual fix.
Then tried to install WA, opened the Installation Guide did the step 2 as suggested 
(It says 
2. Now open the Start menu. Type 'regedit' in the search box and press [ENTER]. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3   and double-click on 'SKU'. Change the shown
number to 2 and press 'OK'. Close the Register Editor.)

After doing that the guide suggests that i open crack folder etc etc but i didn't do any of it bc i read that we are supposed to crack the game after finished installing eps. I wanted to install the WA ep so clicked to Sims3EP01Setup.exe file but i got an error message saying "Runtime error! Program: ...e Sims 3 - World Adventures Expansion\Sims3EP01Setup.exe abnormal program termination"

All Dlc's installed with just 1 mouseclick.

Hello,

If you mean by "manual fix", that you used the 1.67 manual patch, then you MUST use the latest available Ultimate Fix (No-CD crack) for the game as well. Please do steps #4 and #5 from the guide here:

Then try the game. Good luck!

P.S. at this stage, I do not recommend re-downloading everything through ZLOrigin. Please try my suggestion first, and we can see how it goes from there.

Thank you for your suggestion but i don't want all the packs. My laptop is old, Ts3 used to lag so much when i installed more than few packs.

Yes i mean 1.67 manual patch. But i don't understand am i not supposed to install EPs first? Step 4 and 5 comes after installing the EPs. 
Also it says here that i need at least one of those packs for appying the Ultimate fix.

OK, did you extract with WinRAR? Also, do you have all available Windows updates downloaded and installed?

Also, the ZLOrigin will install the 1.69 version of The Sims 3, and that 1.69 version apparently allows you to select the DLC you want to play with. But I suspect you will be running into a similar error when trying to install/run the ZLOrigin-version. Please double-check your Windows updates first.

Yes i extracted with winrar, also yes i downloaded all the windows updates yesterday just in case. I thought maybe i need to redownload Visual C++ files but when i try to download them it says i already have newer version of it. It looks like this:
Btw i didn't had this error message when trying to install the base game, should i try installing other eps? Does installation order matter?

Sorry
TS3 should not make any difference - you can install in any order.

No problem. Well i tried to install Late Night first this time and got the same error. I don't know what is the problem, i used to be able to install ts3 packs without any problems years ago in the same laptop. My laptop isn't formatted or anything since then. 

@bethesus, this will sound strange, but you DID make sure to extract every single expansion (stuffpack) of TS3, into a folder on its own?

So one (1) folder for WA, another for Late Night, etc.? And then you started the installation from within the respective folder?

I think i did? I mean i created a folder for WA extracted zip into that folder but i don't think it has anything to do with it. Anyway i got frustrated and deleted/uninstalled everything, maybe i'll try again later when i'm in the better mood to deal with this stuff. Thank you guys for trying to help though, i really appreciate it.

Sorry the 'methods' so far didn't work. When you try again sometime else, consider this. I have not used Windows Vista/7 in a while now, but you could try repairing the Visual C++ runtimes. Or this:

1) Open Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features on or off. I'm not entirely sure if this 'path' is also valid in Windows Vista/7 though.

2) Look for .NET framework 3.5

3) Uncheck the box next to it.

4) Click "OK" (apply) and restart the PC.

5) After restarting, repeat the procedure, but this time TICK the box next to the .NET framework 3.5.

6) Click again on "OK" (apply) and restart the PC.

7) Now try the installation again.

You are not gonna believe me but i also tried this yesterday. I saw it somewhere online as a solution for runtime errors and gave it a go but it didn't change anything.

I officially give up now; sorry I couldn't help more in this instance. The error could be due to some other issue, with your Windows setup. In the long run, when you decide to give it a try to re-install Windows, maybe you could then try again installing The Sims 3 as well. But other than that I'm also clueless.

I installed Complete Collection from the link you provided, didn't run into problems when installing etc but the thing is i can't uninstall any of the packs. There isn't any uninstaller in folders for each ep. I tried to delete the ep folders like in ts4 but i guess this isn't the way of uninstalling packs bc i can't open the game, launcher resets the version to 0.0.0.0 
If i try to install the game via ZLOrigin would it let me download certain packs or at least uninstalling them after installation? I read that you can choose the eps you want to play/don't want to play if i download via ZLOrigin bc of 1.69 update but i would rather not install the unwanted packs at all. 

When you install via ZLOrigin the game is updated to version 1.69 with all DLC's present, however you can select the EP's you want to play with

I suspect that is due to the fact that registry entries (from your old TS3 installation) are still present:

You may have to try to completely remove all these old registry entries of TS3, and manually at that, before you can try using again that all-in-one installer. I can't vouch directly for this compilation (as it's not part of the official G4TW downloads), but these compilations use "modified installers", and using the error during startup-fix above, in combination with the manual patch/Ultimate fix, may not work on these editions.

Again, if installed on a completely 'clean slate' (a system with no traces of any previous TS3 installation) it should work. Normally.

^that is the reason I always suggest to people: do not uninstall anything from a Windows operating system unless you are absolutely sure you want to get rid of it and you really need the filespace (for something else) .

It seems to be a peculiarity of Windows OS that people too often encounter problems when uninstalling/re-installing things. Doesn't seem to happen much on Mac & Linux.
