**DEBUG** Issue in Buy Mode after installing latest update. Empty **DEBUG** Issue in Buy Mode after installing latest update.

Hey guys!

I installed the new 1.42.30.1020 update and I have some issues with it!

First let me clarify that I always played the sims 4 in Dutch (Netherlands). I never encountered any issue that i’m experiencing right now.

So these are the following issues I first encountered when I installed the new update (and yes I did install it correctly, I first removed the game file out off the sims 4 directory and I copied/pasted the new files into the directory):

1.Upon entering the homescreen of the sims 4 I noticed that the sims mobile icon was missing! [FIXED]

**DEBUG** Issue in Buy Mode after installing latest update. Untitl15

2. when I loaded my save file, I had all the new items (including the family portrait). But for some objects in buy mode, the title and description were all named **DEBUG**. [ONLY FIXED WHEN I SET THE GAME TO ENGLISH INSTEAD OF DUTCH]
**DEBUG** Issue in Buy Mode after installing latest update. UenlyoSExample of the **DEBUG** issue. Its a pic i took from the internet!

So I did some research on the web, and did some workarounds to fix the issue myself.
I renamed my sims 4 file in “Documents” to something else and started the game new basically.
This solved the homescreen issue! The sims mobile icon was there like it should be! But the items with the title and description **DEBUG** was still there! So I did some research again and some folks said to change the language of the game. I did that (and changed the language to English instead of Dutch) and this solved the issue! I no longer encounter the **DEBUG** issue. I tried to change the language back to Dutch and the **DEBUG** issue came back! I think there is something wrong with the dutch translations maybe?! Is there something else I can do to fix this issue?! Cause i’m really used to play the game in Dutch (and i would really like to continue playing it in Dutch). For now i will leave it in English so that i can continue playing.

*Side note: During my research, people suggested to reinstall the game. I’m not going to do that! Why?! Because first of all that would mean for me that I have to re-download everything (cause I lost the setup files basically lol). And because I hate deleting and reinstalling stuff. I did install everything correctly  from the beginning like it was suggested here at G4TW. So there shouldn't be anything corrupted or misplaced. Also i don't have any mods installed.

Thanks in advanced for the help guys!

Hello and welcome to the Forum @JhonHollywood,

Did you download the patch from Games4theworld, or from another source? Keep in mind that downloads from other sources generally only contain English language files, for simplicity.

The Games4theworld repacks contain all 17 language "sets", though. Most uploaders refrain from doing the same, because in general it is extremely tedious and painful to fetch these sets. I myself use ZLOrigin and "repair" my game every time, to download a new set. Every turn of repair in which a new language set is downloaded, lasts about 10 minutes. Take that time and multiply by 17 (different language sets). You get the idea.

I started the game myself just now, changed the language to Dutch, quickly looked through all items from the "Cats & Dogs" DLC, but all text was normal on my end.

Download the complete language set files here; just extract with WinRAR and copy/paste over your Sims 4 installation, overwriting existing files when prompted. Good luck!

All the items from Cats & Dogs are ok, the pic you see there was an example from the internet. I had the **DEBUG** issue with a counter top from Jungle Adventures and other decoration stuff.

All Sim related stuff i always download from here (G4TW) since day one i met you guys! So no other source is involved.  Wink

Just tried your suggestion and it still occurs! Anyway i found a workaround, my sister still has the Sims 4 with all installed except this update. So i'm moving back to the good working version until there comes a new expansion pack like for example seasons or something.  Good job!

Sorry for the belated reply,

I myself don't have that "DEBUG" anywhere on my own game though. I was thinking maybe, could you try the direct download? Or, if your torrented the update the first time, that you try an alternative torrent client?

Again, it doesn't matter much I suppose as long as you have this workaround, but maybe you want to give it a shot, if you have time/interest. Smile

What I am thinking is: assuming your game was working before, and the error just popped up with the latest update, then you could try re-downloading it (from one of the other links).

Ive actually noticed quite a few of my content have the **DEBUG** name now too. My game is run in english and has always been in english.

Entire Sims 4 up till the last update is from games4ttheworld. It's not a major issue since I play quite often and know what the items are called normally. But I have noticed about maybe 10 pieces or more of custom content from various creators have the debug name now.
