Duplicates of Sims 3 Store objects in-game. [Closed]
Hi. This site is amazing. It makes my game so much more enjoyable.
I recently downloaded and installed a heap of items/sets from your Sims 3 Store section. I've never had a problem with anything. But, since the last downloading frenzy from here, I now go into Build/Buy (Buydebug) in-game, I am seeing many duplicates (eg. Baby Dragon, Glass Partition, Sly Fox Balloon, Kite, Clown-in-a-Box etc etc) ). I already had Dragon Valley, and I believe the Baby Dragon may have been included in a set I downloaded recently. The duplicates appear next to each other. One has the Store icon, the other has the blue folder signifying it's cc.
There's also quite a few blank boxes in Buydebug Build/Buy mode, with only a simolean amount and no thumbnail or description. Not sure if they're newly installed items or not.
The duplicates don't show twice in the Launcher, only in-game. I can't just uninstall the duplicate. I have had all the Fixes in place forever, nothing has changed there.
Any advice on the duplicates?
Thank you! Love your work.
//EDIT
Has absolutely nobody experienced this? I've read through the forum and seen reports of duplicates after downloading the Complete Store package file, but not with individual downloading. Am I just better off deleting my Store content and downloading the Complete Store package? I've read there are issues with it at the moment.
Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum @EmeraldDemon and sorry for the belated reply,
No, I have never experienced it myself. There is a procedure here, with which you can completely uninstall your entire .sims3pack stuff:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t2208-sims3pack-installed-world-inaccessible-or-wont-install-fix
But personally, unless something is seriously broken, I would not use the method (and in your case, I would "deal with it"). The thing is, you would basically need to re-install all your .sims3packs after that.
If you have the time and energy to do this, then by all means. But I myself wouldn't. Maybe @Dracos66 has an alternative idea though.

@EmeraldDemon
Duplicates are common when using "cracked" files. One of the reasons is that the game often "sees" decrapped files as new files even if the item(s) has/have been installed from a legit file of the same name (i.e. Baby Dragon EA store legit .sims3pack and Baby Dragon decrapped .sims3pack from G4TW) or if the item comes from an SP like Outdoor Living Stuff and is also offered separately from the store. After installing them though, the game only recognizes one of the installs in the game launcher's Installed area, which is why you only see one of the item there.
Blank tiles in buy/build mode are caused by item/mod conflicts, incorrectly decrapped/rig-fixed item files, corrupted Library entries, etc. They are almost impossible to get rid of without doing a full reinstall and, as long as you only have a few per category, are not going to hurt the game.
There are 2 effective ways to remove duplicates:
1. Make note of which items are duplicated and remove them using the launcher. Go into the game and take look to see if (a) the item is no longer listed at all or (b) there is only one item instead of two or more. Next, reinstall any of the items that no longer appear in game.
It may take some time but it will remove the greatest portion of duplicates and several of the blank tiles.
or
2. Start over. Completely uninstall and reinstall The Sims 3 and all EPs/SPs, making sure to reboot after uninstalling the game. (Make sure to save a copy of your save games and mods to a safe location first). *Now go through the store item(s) you want to install and see if they are already installed from one of the EPs/SPs, then reinstall the store item(s) that are not listed.
*NOTE: If your on patch level 1.67, download the complete store and use it. It does have a few duplicates but they are not game breaking. If your using the Origin 1.69 patch then installing individual items will work better than the Complete Store for now.

Thank you so much for your advice, guys! It doesn't worry me too much, as it's really only in Buydebug that I see the duplicates. I was just wondering if I'd done something wrong (for future downloading), if it was taking up valuable space, or if it meant my game was damaged by something.
I am very excited to download the Complete Store!! I run 1.67 (Steam). Oh, the choices I'll have !!! Do I have to uninstall any downloads I have from here first? So I don't get triples or something? Or can I just go ahead and do the Complete Store installation? SO excited!!!
You guys rock. Thank you so very much for your work. You've literally changed my game .

If your going to install the complete store I would suggest uninstalling any installed store items first or, if you have a lot of store items installed, start over with a fresh game install (Just base game and EPs/SPs).
