SIms 4 with blackened or distorted faces after the May 24 2018 patch? [CLOSED]

If you patched your game and are having newly generated NPCs showing up with distorted or black-out faces, after applying the newest patch look no further that your CC in your mod folder. There are a couple of culprits for this behavior that does not affect playable sims, just NPCs generated by the game. So far we have been able to pinpoint 3-d lashes; the only ones working were Kijiko's, EA lashes remover, also. the only one working as of this post is Kijiko's and various face overlays are also causing this problem.
You can address the issue in different ways, remove the CC that is causing the problem, which will be the best option and ask the CC makers to update it for the newest patch. Also you may want to run Sims4Studio and do a batch fix of your mods and disallowing cc for random and as default garment. Hope this helps some that have encountered this issue.

Thank you so much for this. I am using Kijikos 3 D lashes and her lash remover, they are working great. Accept for the kids version, which does not show up in game. all the others do, including toddlers.

There is no (offline) crack yet for that patch. That's why you can't find it. But in the meantime, you can try the new patch on the ZLOrigin-version of The Sims 4:
