Game freezes when I exit out of the build mode.

Since downloading the new patch, I notice that when I exit out of the Build mode, my game freezes.  My sims pictures disappears on the lower right hand corner. I can't exit out or save.  I had to force exit from Task Manager.

When I played yesterday, it did this and I lost 2 days of playing that household since I couldn't save and didn't know it was going to do that. I had to do it again.  Also when I click on my sims, its still on the previous sims until I click at the bottom. Is anyone experiencing this. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
