Sims 3 Important Message: Problem connecting to server
Firstly, I have been using your torrents for years and years and have successfully put all the EA games ive ever wanted on any computer ive owned thanks to this website. i can search any problem i run into and find the solution. but this has me at a loss.
i got a new dell inspiron 15 3000 and started to download the sims games as usual. i followed the installations guides as i normally do being careful to follow each step correctly. i downloaded the base sims 3 game, and create a world. i don't have wifi in my home yet so i stopped there. the downloads and installations went smoothly.
without internet i can still use create a world, and should be able to play the base game i have downloaded. but if i try to EIG in caw, or play The Sims 3, i get this exact error: "Important message! There is a problem connecting to the server. Please ensure your internet connection is active. If problem persists, try again later." the sims launcher then closes when i exit the message, preventing me from playing the game at all.
I have searched this forum and the internet for days and haven't found anyone else with this problem. I will say my internet at home is very slow/nonexistent, but that shouldn't matter here. i also did not download origin on this computer like i did on my others. do i need origin?
ive also disabled all firewalls
if anyone can help me figure out the problem i will be so grateful. ive applied the fix and everything. does anyone have any ideas or have this error message??? im at such a loss

It looks like a missing nocd-crack.
Have you placed the crack from the folder #Crack in your download of the base game ?

Also note that the NoCD-file for The Sims 3 provided by G4TW here ("The Sims 3 Ultimate Fix") ONLY works if you have at least one of the expansions/stuffpacks installed, in addition to the base game.

These are both very helpful replies, thank you! I agree it must be that I applied the ultimate fix without having other games installed. With my internet connection being so slow it's taking me a while to download another game but I should have world adventures ready by tonight. I'll install WA and apply the fix again after. I think that should do it but I'll let you know if I run into trouble.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Make sure to have also applied the 1.67 manual patch though, before installing the WA pack.
