Manual Patch link not working.

Manual Patch link not working.
I used the manual patch last time two years ago on my old computer. Today i wanted to download sims 3 on my laptop and when i click on a link for the manual patch an adfly page appears, like usual. Instead of the "skip add" button and the countdown, there is a small red "x" and when i click on it the whole blue adfly header closes leaving the add below on the whole page. I tried for 5 times on Chrome, Firefox and Edge waiting for 5 mins and everywhere is the same.
P.S. If you were the one that was trying to help me for the sims 4 crashing thing, my computer was actually the problem. On my laptop it works like a charm.

YThere's nothing wrong with that site. Try a different browser.

This is maybe slightly off-topic, but if you can, try investing in an external hard-drive on which you save all your games/software, movies, etc. When you later on re-install or move to a new computer, use the installers from your external drive, to avoid having to re-download everything over again.

@nadezdabeka @Tarac nothing wrong with the browser, Firefox correctly blocks access to that site. SSL certificate it uses applies to *.stackstorage.com and stackstorage.com but not to *.*.stackstorage.com. So
www.tonyhimself.stackstorage.com
is blocked but tonyhimself.stackstorage.com
is allowed. Try this link: https://tonyhimself.stackstorage.com/s/uqqSeACsNKvRHcE

Any idea why clicking the link within the stackstorage URL just won't work?
I click it and absolutely nothing happens, it seems. Is it really large, do you
just need to wait for your computer to recognise it?

These are (~Ann~'s) "banner ads". In the top right of the screen there should be an adfly-ad in dark blue, with red x. Have you tried clicking on red x?

Re: Manual Patch link not working.
I did. I was impatient!! Firefox seemed like it wasn't proceeding with the download, the cancel/refresh symbol went static as soon as you left the window.
Chrome however shows that your browser is still trying to process something. And as the download is so big (1.6gb) it just takes it a while to process fully before beginning the download. Once you wait it's fine!
