OrangeEmu.DLL "Hello ;)" + error (0xc0000142). [SOLVED] Empty OrangeEmu.DLL "Hello ;)" + error (0xc0000142). [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Fri 22 Mar 2019, 07:07

Hi guys,

I'm re-posting this here because I'm new to the forum and originally posted this on The Sims Emporium. My apologies.

Hi guys,

So upon installing The Sims 4 I've come across this issue. The first time I opened the game it managed to get to the main loading screen before crashing my computer. After that, each time I've tried to open the game the infamous OrangeEmu.DLL "Hello OrangeEmu.DLL "Hello ;)" + error (0xc0000142). [SOLVED] Icon_wink" followed by the (0xc0000142) error pops up. I've tried so many different ways to fix the issue that I've found here among other websites.

So, I've done antivirus exclusions thing on Avast AND Defender, plus tried disabling them both too... I've tried disabling virtualization, no dice there either... I've tried redownloading the OrangeEmu files several times... I've even tried reinstalling the game. But. Nothing. Works.

Does anybody have any ideas? I've had the game before, a couple years back, on this exact same laptop so I have no idea why I can't get this working now. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program > Turn Windows features on or off > uncheck Hyper-V. Uncheck Windows Sandbox if it's present too.
In Windows Defender Security Centre open:
1. Device Security > Core isolation details and disable Memory Integrity.
2. App & Browser Control > Exploit protection settings and disable Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR).
If that doesn't help, disable virtualization in BIOS/(U)EFI.

That's all solutions I've gathered to fix this problem.

Thanks for trying man, but I've already tried the Hyper-V thing and it was already unchecked. So that didn't work.

I just tried the next part, but I have no core isolation details option WhatDidUJustCallMe? as for the disabling virtualization, my computer doesn't have the UEFI firmware option in troubleshooting... in place of it is a command control option.

Your computer have BIOS or UEFI. There's nothing else.

Google your motherboard name + "how to access bios". Or your laptop name if you're using laptop.

Okay now I've gone through all of your suggestions and well... memory integrity was already disabled, so was the forced randomization... and virtualization was already disabled in BIOS too... so I have absolutely no idea why I'm continuing to encounter this OrangeEmu stuff...

Only got the one I'm afraid WhatDidUJustCallMe? thanks for trying to help out though man, much appreciated.

Do you think it's possible it's because of where I downloaded the game from? Like, I got it from nosteam. Do you know anywhere else I could get it from that comes with all packs?

No matter where you download it from - they all use crack from CODEX. So you always get the same files. WhatDidUJustCallMe?

I've been having the same issue for the past year! I've taken the time to uninstall and reinstall every time but it never works. There don't seem to be any real solutions out there right now. I don't even have windows defender on my computer, i have kaspersky. But everything is completely blocked on there too. Plus there was no Hyper V or Windows Sandbox to uncheck in my control panel. I literally have no idea what's causing this but it's extremely frustrating because it happened out of nowhere

It sucks, huh? I don't understand it, though there's gotta be a way out there to fix it. You and I must have similar builds in laptop or something. I have a Windows 10 Home HP, what do you have?

That's so bizarre... there must be some sort of link between our systems, and the systems of those this is happening to... what that is I wouldn't have a clue haha. There's also gotta be some way to fix it... it can't be totally unfixable...

I don't suppose you still have the documentation papers that came along when you purchased the computer?

Either way, very often when you turn on the computer and the screen, there is some notice in a corner of the screen, that appears very briefly. The notice mentions that you ought to press some button to access (insert something here). Yes, you will have to look - and act - quickly.

Under "insert something here", there will usually be the wording "setup" or "boot access", any variation thereof, or maybe even something entirely different. But as said, very often you get this very brief prompt to press a particular key right after turning on a computer.

If no prompt is given, try pressing and holding a variety of keys immediately after turning on the computer. Keyboard keys often used are DEL, ESC, or one of the Function keys (F1, F2, F8, F12, are common).

Yeah, I figured it out, it was ESC. But even then, virtualization was already disabled. I tried enabling it to see if for some crazy reason that would work, but it didn't. So I disabled it again, and yeah, still not working. I'm currently trying to find an older cracked version that may work. I don't need all the snazzy new stuff. Only packs I really want are City Living, Get to Work, Get Famous and Pets (Pets because my little sister wants to make a cat lol). Any idea where I can find an older version to install that contains these DLCs? I can live without City Living, Get to Work and Get Famous, but Pets (Or Cats and Dogs or w/e is called) is an absolute must haha

After doing my research I've come to believe that there's a certain incompatibility with my computer and the CODEX cracks. So I probably need to find an older RELOADED crack

Sorry we couldn't help further here.

I believe Jungle Adventures was the last DLC which supported the "old (RELOADED) crack". You can use the stuff from @anadius here to selectively pick only the DLC that came out, until (and including) Jungle Adventures:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t33925-the-sims-4-v1-50-67-1020-all-dlcs-selectable-17-languages-anadius-repack-download-only-what-you-need

Or look on The Piratebay for an older all-in-one version, that includes everything until Jungle Adventures.

By the way, is your Windows a 64-bit version?

That won't work, my repack is updated to the latest version, 1.50.67.1020, which uses CODEX crack.

Jungle Adventure was the last one with crack made by someone else. You've got two options:

1. Install "The.Sims.4.Cats.and.Dogs-RELOADED" (just search for it) + Laundry Day Stuff + Jungle Adventure from G4TW. 32.7GB to download.
2. Install everything up to Jungle Adventure from G4TW. 50.7GB to download.

I think Cats & Dogs was the last one cracked by RELOADED and crack for Laundry Day Stuff and Jungle Adventure was made by someone else but it's based on RELOADED crack. So they should work.

Cheers man, I've found one that I'm gonna download in a sec. In fact, it says you commented on it last October on Piratebay. The Sims 4-RELOADED by extremezone. Does that ring a bell? It includes all the DLC up until the point in time it was uploaded to Piratebay, yeah?
