cannot open or play the sims 3 showtime

I'll start by saying that this is my first time using a games4theworld torrent So maybe I just haven't done it right. I've cracked and update the sins 3 games and launcher. Everything I try to open the launcher it won't start up. Before I just kept getting this check your log error. Then when I try to open straight from the bin directory I keep getting an service initialization failed error( 0x0175dcbb). I don't have Ann cf installed as this is a fresh install.

Thanks admin that was fast! Better support then one would even get from EA themselves. I see if they work and let you know.

Okay, I accidentally applied the Ultimate Fix before I finished the 1.32 update tutorial completely. Will this allow my game to still work if I apply the cracks Again, after I have finished the update all the way? Do I have to reinstall the game and start all the way over?

that question, I reinstalled it and did everything the way it says in
the tutorial but I am still having the same issues. I have no idea what I
did wrong. I can't start it from the Cracked file or the Launcher.

The Guide told me to do it before I cracked it. When I try to I keep getting the message, "Update error, Invalid file found." I'm not sure if this is important but it says the game is already up to date at 1.32.

Yes, that is the exact thread were I got the 1.32 download from. I haven't reinstalled 1.31, so does that mean I have to install The Sims 3 and expansions all over again? In order to get a fresh reinstallation ....

no you dont have to reinstall the games again

just reinstall the 1.31 patch and click yes when it says you have a newer patch installed.

Then go to regedit like the guide says and if the SKU file is already set to 2, change it to 1 hit apply, and then change it back to 2

After all that THEN install the 1.32 patch and apply the crack from the #crack folder after it finishes installing and you should be good to go

It says I have to uninstall 1.32 before i can downgrade to 1.31. How would I uninstall 1.32. Do I just go to the regedit thing anyway?

I cant guarantee that continuing on to the regedit and then reapplying the 1.32 patch would work.....

Actually, that depends.
The service initialization error you're mentioning suggests a registry problem. You also said that this is a fresh install of the game. My first question would be, when you uninstalled, did you restart the pc at any point before proceeding with the reinstallation?

No I have not. I just reinstalled all my Sims 3 games, should I restart my PC at this point?

Hello,

If you didn't restart the pc, I'm afraid everything will have to be uninstalled at this point. After that, restart the pc and you can reinstall.

Okay, I'm uninstalling the games now. After the restart and reinstall, I should follow the tutorial completely as before or should I do something different? I would just like to know before I reinstall the games again.

That seems to be the same registry error as before. Try running Ccleaner.

I downloaded CCleaner but I'm not sure what I should select. I did a registry cleaner option to start with

Just do a normal scan and a registry scan. No need to change anything. After that, restart your PC and tell us the result.
