Sims 3 freezing every 10 seconds for 5 seconds.

Hello!

Today I had an Admin fix my game for me by using...Time[something] lol. Anyways, after much trouble with my sims game, he was able to fix it and I was thrilled! Tonight, I was finally able to play and upon start up, I noticed the game was really slow. I quit the game and restarted both my computer and Sims game. That seemed to help the lagging quite a bit; however, now when I begin playing, about every 10 seconds the game will freeze for about 4-5 seconds. I can hardly do anything on the game because of this and I have no idea what that could be from. It didnt do this before so I'm hoping it will be an easy fix.
Any suggestions?

-Also, all of my graphics are on the lowest quality available.

Hello,

Game lag can be caused by a number of things. It depends on the world you're playing and it can be caused by mods/cc.
There are some things to try, this mod can help.

Which one would I download? Not really sure what those are for?

Also, im not sure what you mean by mods or cc. Mods meaning, downloading things for my sims game from the internet?

Hello,

You need the one that says Base Mod for patch levels 1.31, 1.32 and 1.33.
Mods are game modifications that change how the game works, cc (custom content) are objects not made by EA, for example a chair or hairstyle you got from modthesims.
Store content from our mediafire account is not cc.

I'm really not sure, where would I go to check for that?
Also, I've been messing around with the game trying to figure it out and I just discoved that if I play in a different town, the game does NOT freeze up. However, in the town where it does, even if I play with an entirely different family in a different house; it does freeze. Is it possible that there is simply a bug with that particular town?

Sunset Valley. When I go to the main menu; if I choose, "New game" [rather than click the house that freezes to play] I am able to make a new home and family in Sunset Valley and it does not freeze.

No, I just put the sims on my computer no longer than one week ago. So, seven days would be the longest.

Hmm that's weird.
If you've been playing for several generations, it could be that changes to the world interfere with routing and lots of Sims means more lag.
Has overwatch removed vehicles and stuck sims?

Ah okay. I suppose there are a few generations in the family though. A few kids and grandkids, I don't know if that's enough to cause an issue though.
Overwatched, meaning?
I tried, "resetsim" a few times, I saw that helped some people but it did not help me. I'm assuming it has to just be that town or the family which sucks, but at at least the entire game isnt freezing like that.

Hello,

You can try moving your family or the entire population to a new town if you like. This mod can do that for you without the loss of relationships and here is how it works.
It's worth a try.
