Re: Best place to get mods?
Hello,
It depends on what kind of mods you're looking for. Modthesims has a number of interesting mods, like sliders and smaller tweaks. Mods like "no intro", "nobuildsparkles", "housecleaning for everyone".
If you're looking for larger mods that change more and different aspects, you may want to have a look at Awesomemod or the mods from Nraas.
Note though, that Awesomemod is very heavy duty, only use it if you have a mid to (preferably) high end pc. It's also a core mod, so you probably can't use other core mods.
Nraas is my preferred suite though. You can get much of the same functionality Awesomemod has, but it's non-core (except errortrap) and you can pick the functions you find interesting and ignore the rest. Nraas mods are also suitable for the low(er) end pc, I'm using a total of 10 mods (including extra modules) on my very low-end pc with all EP's, all store content, 200MB worth of CC and a few smaller mods from modthesims.
What kind of mod(s) are you looking for? I'd be happy to give some advice

Re: Best place to get mods?
Thanks! I got most of my mods off Nraas its good , I like the idea of adding a disease into the game haha .
I tried to go on modthesims, although when I went to download content it said I needed to enabled cookies, or allow the website ( which I did) I also signed up and made sure that my internet browser remembered my log in details, but It still didn't work do I need to do something? Or is there another site I can get custom content off for free

Re: Best place to get mods?
Just be careful with the disease mod, set it too aggressively and your Sims will not like you very much as their hair falls out and their teeth start growing out of their ears!!
