Playing Sims 3 on High Graphics

How do i play Sims 3 on full High Graphics without getting Bugs like, sometimes when i make a Sim and i chose a tee shirt then go change it, my Sim will go full black or sometimes full crystal looking, when i play it wont let me save the game i keep getting error code 
And sometimes when i go to options i get stuck on it it goes full black also
I got all EP installed from Games4theworld and my Base game (Sims 3) is on CD
My iMac is capable of high graphics.
