Sims 3 Pets problem?

Shiaena wrote:Hi, I'm pretty new here. I have a legit Sims 3 in Origin, as well as some stuff packs (but they're not downloaded). Anyway, I really wanna try Pets, and maybe in the future some other expansion packs. However, I've been having quite a few issues. First, I downloaded the fixed version of Pets and I transferred the crack files to my sims folder, all that good stuff. It ran, but when it opened, there was no text, no save file, and nothing I clicked worked. Well, I followed the instructions and installed the Ultimate fix, as well as the manual fix, and did them both. With the Ultimate fix, I just transferred the files in the "All expansion packs after and including Generations" into my C: > Program Files (x86) > Origin Games > The Sims 3 > Game > Bin folder. Now, I'm experiencing ANOTHER problem. When I try to run the Sims via my Origin, as always, the launcher pops up. When I hit the play button, a pop-up appears. It says:
"Disc Authentication Failure
No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 Pets game disc before proceeding."
Pressing Retry just makes it re-pop up, pressing cancel makes another pop up saying:
"Error
The process could not be started"

Is there any way to fix this?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

You did not apply the Ultimate fix correctly. Please read this guide here, and do the steps #2, #4 and #5:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

You ONLY need the folder named #crack in the Ultimate fix. And you copy those two files inside the #crack-folder, to the base game location of Sims 3 (in your case: Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin), replacing the existing files.

Good luck for now and do keep us posted !

"Error during startup. More information is in the log"

Cellitha wrote:I have a curious problem.

I downloaded the Sims 3 Complete Collection to my Win7 PC yesterday. As instructed by the installation guide I 1) installed the base game first, 2) then ran the 1.67-update, 3)before I started to install all of the expansions and stuff-packs. Only when I had installed all of them did I drag and drop the .exe and .dll from the #Crack-folder to my Game/Bin.
Still, as I try to start the game, I get the message "Error during startup. More information is in the log" (or rather the swedish version of it) as soon as the launching menu turns up.

I saw the advice shown in the Youtube video about how to "clean up keys" in regedit. The problem is the games have never been installed on this computer before, and all "keys" that is shown is of expansions I only just installed and actually want there.

I suspect my problem has something to do with me installing all of the games in my D-drive, as it outsize the C-drive by far. There's no way I've got any room for all of the Sims3-games in the C-drive, where the game directs me by default - and I can't imagine why I should have to. O_o

Please help!

Hello again,

That looks similar to the issue the other user had on here earlier. Look at the install location in your D: drive, Is there a folder named "The Sims 3 Base Game" ?

If so, that's an interesting glitch, and in the end, you may need to un-install everything and then try and free up space on your C: drive. But let's see.

Did you use the program WinRAR for extracting ? Also, try re-downloading the manual patch from step # 2 here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

And use this newly downlaoded patch instead. After which you use again the included Ultimate fix (from the Complete Collection). See if that gets your game running. Good luck for now !

The Sims 3: Complete Collection Problem [SOLVED]

litosts wrote:Yes, I need those later on, once the base game is already installed fully. But like I said, in step three of the base game installation, it says to replace the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin file TS3.exe.

I guess that's a typo. After you updated the game to 1.67 (with the manual patch from the #crack-folder), and also installed at least one of the other expansions or stuffpacks, please COPY both the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll files, inside the #crack-folder of your TS3 Complete Collection. And paste them into your base game location, which will typically be located in C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

When prompted, select "copy and replace" for both files. And that should do. Smile

"There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details" (DIFFICULT PROBLEM)

*Cheshire* wrote:Hello! Thanks again  Very Happy
I have a question:
Just I have to use the "Crack" folder or all folders of expansions?
Greetings,

You only have to use the #crack-folder of the Ultimate fix (which is in step 5 of the guide that you posted, in your first post). Inside are two files: the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll. Copy & paste them into the base game location, usually C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

And make sure to choose "copy and replace" when you paste the files to that base game location.

Good luck again. Smile

Sims 3 Ultimate Collection Help!

ricansim499 wrote:So I downloaded the Sims 3 Ultimate Collection and I'm having a problem with downloading expansions. I already have the base game downloaded. I tried downloading the Sims 3 Pets expansion. I copied the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll to the game bin. When I try to launch the game through the launcher it says the Sims 3 Pets disc could not be found. Can someone please help me with this. I don't know what I could be doing wrong..

Hello ricansim and welcome,

Did you make sure to patch the base game with the manual patch inside the #crack-folder, of the Complete Collection ? Is your base game up-to-date (version 1.67) ?

Also, where exactly did you copy + paste the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll to ? And did you make sure to choose "copy and replace for all files" ?

Please paste the two files into C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and REPLACE all existing files (choose "copy and replace"). Good luck for now and keep us posted !

The Sims 3 complete collection.rar asking for regristration number before game launch.

mio16 wrote:Hello, I already ask for help using private email to admin. but since 20th feb 2015, they said the email support will be offline so I post it online.

I have a problem that when i wanted to launch the sims 3 base game, it asked me for registration code which when I enter the code, It does not work. Admin has already helped me and I have already done the step they told me to do exactly as instruction in the readme.txt. I have already copy and replace to the correct place and has been checked by Admin. But then Admin asked me to check if I have the Origin Game file in my PC. I do not have this file. So what should I do next ? and to be honest, I am not very good at computer so please help me out step by step. ^^
I have also read the problem posted by SimCraz3D and SOLVED. Still do not understand how it works.

I have been dying to play this game since I download it.

Hello mio16 and welcome,

Inside the #crack-folder of the Complete Collection is a big file, named TS3_1.67xxx.exe. Can you double-click on that first, and follow through the instructions ? Let me know when you are finished with that, so that we can go on further - good luck !

sims 3 complete collection installation issues? [SOLVED]

SimCraz3D wrote:I hadn't attempted to install any of the expansions yet. I had only install the base game. Also, the base game is from here. I have the complete collections of the sims 3 from here. The only thing I didn't do was apply patch. I will go back and do that and hopefully get it working. I will come back with the results. Thanks for your reply.

Then please (re-) update the game with the 1.67 manual patch inside the #crack-folder of the Ultimate Collection. Smile  After you updated your base game, you MUST install at least one of the expansions.

After that you proceed with the stuff I wrote in my previous reply.

You cannot use our Ultimate fix unless you actually have one of the expansions or stuffpacks installed. Good luck !

sims 3 complete collection installation issues? [SOLVED]

SimCraz3D wrote:Hello,

I downloaded The Sims 3 - The complete collection rar. I installed the base game and before I went on to install the expansions and stuff I went to start up the game. I just got a new laptop and wanted to check out the game and see how it runs. I noticed that there are no crack folders in the individual rar files for the games. There is however, one folder labeled crack. So I used these files to copy and paste. Unfortunately, when I went to start up the game I got a "enter your registration code here" message. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I know it has to be something I am doing wrong because I have used games4theworld torrents for many years and never had an issue. I didn't update the game and only installed the base game, just wanted to include this information if it helps.

Hello,

So you DID manage to install a few expansions now ? Smile  And is your base game from Origin ?

First of all, go to the #crack-folder and re-apply the 1.67 manual patch. After that, COPY the other two files: the TS3W.exe and the TSLHost.dll. And paste them into your base game location. If you got the retail disc of the base game or got it from here, the location is usually C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

If you got the base game from Origin, then the location is C:\Program files(x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

Whatever your base game location may be, you MUST select "copy and replace for all files", when prompted on what to do. This will delete the old files, and put in the two new (cracked) ones.

Good luck, and that should do ! Smile

Hello Femn821,

After installing the base game you MUST download + apply the latest manual patch, version 1.67. This patch is the big file, included in the #crack-folder of your download. Following that, you also need to install at least ONE of the other expansions/stuffpacks.

At the end, you need to use the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll files from the #crack-folder in your Complete Collection, and copy them to your base game install location, usually C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. When prompted, choose "copy and replace" for all files.

Good luck, and feel free to post back if anything is still unclear to you and if you need more help. Smile

P.S. also read up on this guide here, and do the steps from 2 - 5, which is basically the stuff that I mentioned above:

Never done anything like this before - need help with expansion packs?

JerbearBlackwood wrote:

One thing to add: it is NOT necessary (anymore) to "crack expansions". If you are having problems, then this will have other reasons.

It doesn't matter what expansions you have installed, you ONLY have to use the two files inside the #crack-folder of the Ultimate fix of TS3 (or, in the #crack-folder of the "Complete Collection"). ANd nothing else. These two files are then copied + pasted to the base game location of Sims 3, replacing the existing files. And that should do !

In general, don't do anything else besides what is stated in the guide that LoriliHime linked to above. If there is no mention of "expansion cracks", then there is a reason that this is so (i.e. you don't need expansion cracks).
