Game crashes (I've done everything...)
So I finally got a 2-week break from work and I was really wishing I could play The Sims during this time. But it's been two days I've spent just with trying to make it funcion properly! Soon enough my vacations will be over... lol
When I installed The Sims 3 with no expansions, it worked just fine. But then I installed Supernatural (I downloaded from your link @ kat.ph), because that was the expansion I really want to play. Things went well, but after 8 to 10 minutes of playing, the game crashed (screen blinked, and the computer froze).
Before you judge my computer, well, I can play games like World of Warcraft with little trouble, and yes, one of the things I've tried was to update drivers.
Game kept on crashing, along with the computer, which (by what I've read in here) is not a weird occurrence. Most of the times during construction/buy mode, and sometimes during character creation screen. Now, I will make a list of the things I did already:
1. Downloaded and installed the update to version 1.48. Applied the ULTIMATE fix afterwards. Opened game, same error kept on happening.
2. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the order: base game - expansion - update - ultimate fix. After this, the game wouldn't even open!
3. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the order: base game -update - expansion - ultimate fix. After this, the game wouldn't even open!
4. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the order: base game - ultimate fix for TS3 - expansion - update - ultimate fix for TS3W. After this, the game wouldn't even open!
5. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the order: base game - update - ultimate fix for TS3 - expansion - ultimate fix for TS3W. After this, the game wouldn't even open!
6. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the order: base game - expansion - - update - ultimate fix for TS3 - the own crack embedded at the SUpernatural download and not the untilate fix one. After this, the game wouldn't even open!
So I kept on trying all the different combinations, but the only one that made my game AT LEAST open for me to play (and see it freeze a few minutes later) was: base game - it's own crack - expansion - it's own crack.
(Important note: when I install following this last order I described, the Supernatural installation does a little update itself, in the base game it seems.)
So, is there anything else I could do or should I just quit and accept the universe hates me? lol
Edit: forgot to say I've followed the instructions seen here also: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-29-09-2012

Hello,
Let's get things straight first. Install all the expansion packs you like.
After doing so, re-download and re-apply the manual patch from step 2: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
When you try to start the game now, it should ask for a game disc, this is normal.
If this happens, re-do step 3 and 4 and do re-download the Ultimate Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly (Read the instructions carefully and note that you DO NOT need all the folders that come with the Fix, only the "# Crack" folder)
After doing all of this, try to start your game and let us know what the result is. Good luck!
