Launcher loads, game doesn't load. Won't load from TS3 or TS3W either.

I've installed and re-installed and re-re-installed the patch and the final fix crack multiple times and whenever I try to load I'll get a loading indicator on my pointer for a split second and then nothing. The launcher will close but nothing will load. Not even a black screen like some others have mentioned.
Edit: No mods nor custom content, have The Sims 3 Base Game, Pets, and University Life installed. Game has never loaded.

Did you apply the ultimate fix? If so, try gamebooster (both are somewhere on this site) it may help speed things along.

Try backing up and removing this folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\
