CSS launching command box

Hello,



this is my first post on this forum, and i haven't been using your downloads for very long
(so forgive me if i have made a mistake as i am a complete )
but i have installed Counter-Strike Source by following the installation guide in the download and all went well, but when i go to launch the game, a command box appears with absolutely nothing in it, then quickly goes away again.
Maybe i have made a mistake in the installation but i am pretty sure i got it right.
As i haven't seen anything else on this forum about this then i have the feeling it may be my computer as it is a little old (even though it still does exceed the recommended specs)
If someone does know the cause of this then that would be very helpful!

It goes away and then you can run the game just fine?
If yes, I don't think there's anything you should worry about.

That is what i was expecting to happen,
but sadly when the command box goes away, nothing will happen after that

Nothing shows up? No errors, nothing?
Also, where exactly did you get the download from?
